After having led in California for what is now 4 years I finally got the chance to lead out in Yosemite National Park this last week. The fires in Mariposa, Ca just west of the park burned over 15 homes and cut off all electricity to Yosemite, but you wouldn’t know it if you were there! A few guests took advantage of a refund we offered because of the situation and we saw our trip of 20 guests shrink down to 8. Two families took a gamble and braved the media hype that was surrounding the area. Through the course of the last 6 days we hiked some incredible trails and soaked up all that Yosemite and its massive granite walls gave us. As always below are a few of the highlights and the slideshow to tickle your eyelids.
A Sequoia Redwood Tree in the Mariposa Grove.
Redwoods are so massive that sometimes their roots just can’t hold them up.
A view of Half Dome.
The Ahwahnee Hotel.
Dog Lake. Woof Woof.
