Hello from the Motherland! The last 8 days I have been eating, drinking, and soaking up the culture, in Hamburg, Germany with my family. Having all of my mothers side of the family in Germany here makes it hard to see them very often so it is great when we can all get together and catch up. I am about half way done with my travels so far. Things are about to get much more interesting tomorrow when we fly to Copenhagen and begin a 10 day cruise. It’ll be my first cruise ever! Stand by for some great photos, but for now here are a few of my favorites of the trip so far. Enjoy.
A common theme this last week was cake. And plenty of it. Below is a shot of some sugar bread. Have one and you can’t say no to a 2nd helping.

My mothers side of the family. I was seen as the “Blonde Surfer Dude from California”

Uncle Hubertus, my mother, and Aunt Elona on the ferry discussing something important.

This looks like my “Worried” face, but do not worry! It was only the sun in my eyes.

The Shaw family on mothers day.

A fish market in Bremerhaven. Yummmmmm.
